Site Update: Weekend Phishing Attack

Phishing is the act of attempting to acquire information such as usernames, passwords, and credit card details (and sometimes, indirectly, money) by masquerading as a trustworthy entity in an electronic communication.

Unfortunately, over the weekend, LosEvolution.com was a victim of a recent phishing attack. Somehow, a hacker succeeded in creating a CSS folder on the site, and setting up a false Amazon.com login.

A note: no foul play was done by any LosEvolution writer, contributor, or author. The CSS folder has been deleted, and the site has been secured and passed all of the security tests by its host, GoDaddy.com.

As a result of this, all user accounts were deleted to further protect users.
